Biscuit Belly
Hi Darlings!
We tried out Biscuit Belly on their opening weekend, and I know you must think we are crazy for trying something on opening weekend.. perhaps we are a little bit! It really wasn’t that bad of a wait, Biscuit Belly is a mix of a sit-down restaurant and a fast-service restaurant. We ended up sitting at the bar because it was open before a table was. When I go somewhere for brunch, I’m always included to order their bloody mary and Biscuit Belly’s bloody mary certainly did not disappoint! I think it’s my new favorite! There were two options when ordering the bloody mary, I opted for the more expensive one because it was a dark spicier one and it also came with more goodies on top of the glass (as you can see)! I enjoyed it so much, that I ordered two, which I don’t normally do because they were kind of expensive! Josh had opted for their Kentucky Coffee Cocktail (pictured below) which had coffee, Four Roses bourbon, bourbon cream, and chocolate porter whipped cream. I tasted it and it was tasty, but I still loved my bloody mary more! We started out with their loaded breakfast tots . They were decent, but not really what I expected, their tater tot was cooked differently than a normal tater tot. For our main entree, we figured we could not split something like we normally do so we went different directions with our biscuit sandwiches. Josh got the Biscuit Bennie, and I got the Mama’s Boy. The Biscuit Bennie had smoked brisket, poached eggs, smoked gouda mornay, cherry tomatoes, poblano tomato sauce and the Mama’s Boy contained fried chicken, roasted jalapeño pimento cheese, Pop’s pickles, fried green tomato. Both were very tasty, however my dumb stomach decided to be picky again and started hurting. I’m not real sure if it was because my sandwich was too rich or if my bloody mary was bothering my stomach. Despite my stomach hurting, we both really enjoyed Biscuit Belly and I would rate it a 9/10. We will definitely be back!
