Porcini

On this year’s Valentine’s Day, Josh and I went to Porcini’s Italian Restaurant. Now, I try to give restaurant’s leeway when it comes to Valentine’s Day, but Josh and I just weren’t that impressed with them. They had too many tables too close to each other, and frankly the food wasn’t worth the price tag. Now I won’t say the food wasn’t good, it just wasn’t worth what they were charging. We started with their gorgonzola salad, then split their carbonara penne, and ended with red velvet creme brûlée. The salad and dessert was good, the pasta dish wasn’t worth the price nor the calories. All in all we would rate it a 6/10. We will try it again on a non busy holiday to really see if it was just an off night, but it’ll be quite a while before we go back.

Sarino

Hey Ya’all!

We decided to celebrate our 3 year Wedding Anniversary at Sarino - I mean who doesn’t love fresh pasta and wine?! Our night had perfect weather and we got to spend it on Sarino’s gorgeous outdoor space!! We started with a cheese and charcuterie board (do you see a trend here? I LOVE cheese and meat boards!!) and then I had their vodka sauce pasta dish and it was YUMMY and Josh had their Bolognese pasta dish and we also ordered a side of their Focaccia bread to go along with it. Everything was absolutely delicious! We will be back for sure. I’d rate it an 8/10.

Grassa Gramma

Ciao, darlings!

Josh and I decided to give Grassa Gramma a try, after we had our fellow chef from Grassa Gramma at our cooking class at Cooking at Milies! It did not disappoint, the atmosphere there was so beautiful. I wish I could have taken a video of the whole space, but I did snap a quick photo. We started off with their artichoke dip and it was very good and fresh out of the oven! Josh and I then split a seafood pasta, I am not finding it on their menu now but it was something like the Frutti de Mare, and it was delicious. It had a good broth to it, and the noodles and bread were very yummy. I had to snap a pic of my water glass, because it was too pretty not to. All in all, I’d rate them a 7/10. The place was beautiful and honestly the food was not as badly priced as some of the other expensive restaurants.
