The Fat Lamb

A couple weekends ago we were attending our first comedy show at the Comedy Caravan (super fun btw) and wanted to eat somewhere close on Bardstown Road. We opted to give The Fat Lamb a try and… we were kind of disappointed to be honest. We started with the Italian sausage risotto fritters, the actual fritters were good but it was sitting on a bed of spicy mustard and it was just way way too much mustard! They call themselves the “Fat Lamb” and only offer two lamb dishes? I find that odd. We chose the cheaper of the two options for lamb and went for the gnocchi with lamb ragu. It was good, but nothing to really rave about. The atmosphere was good and service was great, but food could have been better. I’m sure their lamb chops would be good, and perhaps we will try them next time but it’ll be a while before I want to go back. All in all, I’d rate them a 6/10.
